Officer Updates

  • Officer Chavez (filling in for Code Compliance Officer Jason Ignacio)
    • 21 new code compliance cases in the past month
      • Most related to property maintenance (outside storage, bulk out of cycle, and illegal dumping)
    • Substandard structures (wood deteriorated without paint, broken windows, etc) can be reported in the MyFW App
      • If windows are broken, but they have been boarded up that does meet the minimum standard and is not a violation
    • Repairs/construction without a COA- can be reported as zoning violation in the app
    • Alley violations such as illegal dumping- can be considered a right of way, so FWPD would be contacted. If it is a grass alley, then code compliance can be contacted
