Kristen McCurdy – Home Tour

  • Launched the virtual tour this Saturday 
  • Already raised $1000
  • Home Tour booklet is also up with information about the tour
  • Up for the next month

Bob Fain – Finance

  • Home Tour: $1985 brought in $3250 in expenditures
  • $4407 checking
  • $1358 Savings
  • $15,000 CD
  • Been able to maintain an operational budget despite COVID
  • Plaques will look like we are over budget, but there are monies coming in for the plaques that are on another line in the budget to offset.

Frances – Communications Director

  • If you would still like to share or purchase a shout out for the tour you can still do it
  • The post will be made in the FHNA website and facebook page

Richard Riccetti – Hemphill Corridor Task Force

  • Restraining has occurred on 4.4 miles of resurfacing on Hemphill
  • Goal is to spur revitalization on Hemphill and reduce the speeds and control the flow and load of vehicles on Hemphill
  • Addressing any blind spots and community comments and concerns with adjustments
  • Cross walks are in the works 
  • Hemphill will be re-zoned based on the Near Southside and Magnolia/Fairmount zoning that has worked well
  • Existing businesses will not be affected
  • TPW (Transportation and Public Works) is the one heading up the project


Preston Patry – Infrastructure

  • Sponsorship of light posts has been successful and thank you
  • The butterfly garden is looking for someone from the neighborhood to be the chair and help bring this to life
  • Everly Plaza is beginning framing soon
  • The Luxe is coming up before the city for zoning off Hemphill and Jessamine

Call for volunteers for the board nominating committee and the 5 board positions coming up for the coming year

Steve Voltmann

  • Still in the pandemic and we are asking for everyone to be cognizant and wear masks when out

Brian Holland – Promotions

  • The July 4th parade is still happening
  • The softball game is being postponed until next year because of COVID
