June 1, 2020 FNA Board Meeting

Home Tour:
- Interest in having sponsorship and are on the way to break even on cost
- Hoping that some people donate while they are watching
- Poster is done, but waiting on finalizing sponsors to put logos on them
- Consulting done for the home tour filming at the locations
- Filming will be Thursday and Saturday
Near Southside Inc:
- Applying for the Near Southside applying for designation as a cultural district with focus on smaller local artists as opposed to the bigger arts district with the museums.
- Asking for a letter of support
- Ability to have access to government funding for grants for local projects
- Emailing the talking points to the board to look it over
Hemphill Corridor Task Force
- Documents have been finalized and presented to the city
- They will be ready to review in July
- Richard will do a presentation of the plans to the neighborhood
- North Tarrant Transit Alliance is a non-profit that educated about transportation reformation and access to public transit and will talk for 5 minutes
Nominating committee
- Nominating people who are to in the neighborhood to join the board in the future
- 2 board members and 3 general and we need an alternate for each
- President can not serve
- Start in July and 10 days after
- Get an email and nominate people in July
- Suggested ChoKe and Jean-Carlo represent the board
- Also to put the call on the website and the digital booklet for people interested in being on the board for the following year
- Finance, promotions for a year, communications, and safety, historic preservation
