Festivus Volunteers Needed

Good news, Fairmountians. Fairmount’s Festivus 2019 is coming in less than 6 weeks, and this year it’s going to be even bigger and more festive! Not only have we moved to a Friday night and added 3 more buses, we also have a super new Venue! One Safe Place, on the corner of Hemphill and Rosedale, has offered to let us use their auditorium. With so much extra room available, we will be hosting craft/art vendors – let us know if you want to be one- and food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. We have always had such a great response from the neighborhood, and we hope you are ready to help us really show Fort Worth how to do the holidays right!
To make Festivus a success, we will need a little help, pretty please. We need just a few more people to round out the committee:
• Volunteer coordinator and trainer
• Vendor coordinator, much of this is already in the planning stages
• Decoration coordinator, both of the site the day of the event and assisting any neighbors who might need a little help
Then on the day of the event we will need volunteers:
• On the buses pointing out sponsoring businesses and promoting the neighborhood
• Helping with tickets and decorations at the venue
• Making sure vendors are set up and needs are met
• Helping hand out t-shirts
• Taking pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus
This is a great event for the neighborhood and for One Safe Place. If you are interested in being a part of this fun and fabulous event, please let us know. Promotions@historicfairmount.com
We will meet again on Tuesday at 6 pm at One Safe Place. Hope to see you there!
