Meeting Minutes
Call to order: 7:03 PM
President Amber Heard
- Welcomed group and discussed Arts Fifth Avenue as possible new meeting location for future
Officer Garner
- Individual who was stealing packages off porches is in jail
- Individuals who broke into 5 businesses on Magnolia and in Fairmount are in jail
- There was a vehicular hit and run on 5th
- 3 people have been arrested for catalytic converter theft
- Reminder that you can purchase catalytic converter cages that are welded on to prevent theft
- Crisis intervention unit
- MH counselor with plain clothes cops (wear blue t-shirt and khakis)
- You can request the Crisis Intervention officer when you call 911
Membership- Barbara Crotty
- Holiday party- trying to plan for the 9th and Festivus for the 10th– dates to be confirmed at a later date
- Looking into bringing back Santa to Fairmount Park the morning of Festivus
- National Night Out- 10/4. Discussed possibly hosting in Fairmount Park this year or joining efforts with Fire Station Community Center
- Chelsie Synatschk with FW Focused will be helping us identify new neighbors so we can send them Welcome Packets
- Reminder- Westside Unitarian Church has an upcoming rummage sale
Finance Report- Regina Jackman
- Balance of accounts
- Checking $38,557.04
- Savings $1,358.39
- Motion to approve funds for online version of Quickbooks as the desktop version is no longer supported ($30/month)
- Seconded and passed
- Will add to budget for next fiscal year
- Possible use of funds- landscaping in Fairmount Park, new sign for the greenspace, sidewalks and streetlights

June and July minutes approved
Community Garden- Suzanne Mabe
- Encouraged everyone to wait until fall for planting due to the drought and heat
- Reminder that garden plots are leased until January
Other Business
- When meetings are held at Arts Fifth Ave, we are allowed to park in 5th Avenue Greenhouse’s parking lot after 5 pm
- Discussion about ordering a replacement Fairmount address stencil from Fast Signs
- Need to update FNA meeting signs with new meeting location
- Code Blue luncheon- being held the week after Festivus at River Ranch
Infrastructure- Austin Reed
- 47 flags, 17 poles, and 5 brackets were lost due to damage this year
- Agreed to get quotes from companies that will put the flags up and down to prevent them from being damaged through summer
