Introduction of NPO:

Isiah Garner

Communications (Rachel Jenkins)

  • Join the email list by way of the website to get updates on events and happenings in the neighborhood
  • Digital newsletter is in the works for the community
  • People of Fairmount idea

Finance (Regina Jackman)

  • Checking $4800
  • Savings $1358
  • CD $15,000
  • Under budget for the year
  • Making assumption that we are going back to an old normal for the new budget
  • Voting on the budget will be at the next general session
  • Looked at the audit of the budget and all looked good.

Promotions (Lori)

  • Halloween contest for decorations
  • Trick or treating is likely not happening due to CDC guidelines
  • Festivus will look a little different
    • Self guided map
    • No tour busses
    • Volunteers
  • Home tour had a loss of $162

Preservation Committee (Michael McDermot)

  • Sue is available for questions since Michael isnt there

Safety (Elizabeth Brammer)

  • National Night Out
    • Virtual meet the officer Q&A before Halloween
    • Talk about general safety for trick or treating and an into for the new NPO
    • Coordinate through Code Blue
  • No official Fairmount decision about trick or treating

Membership (Choke)

  • Call for membership and joining the association
  • Need to be a member 10 days before the meeting in order to vote for the new budget
  • Membership is the main source of funding due to COVID
  • Joining the Fairmount Facebook page will give you information about the neighborhood

Infrastructure (Preston Patry)

  • Magnolia Highlight project and the Hemphill rezoning both passed
  • Hemphill Corridor passed to the next phase for zoning.

Next meeting will be October 26, 2020 at 7PM 

  • voting for the new budget
