Home Tour is THIS WEEKEND! Don’t forget about the Home Tour Parade Saturday morning, May 7, at 10 a.m. We’d love to see a crowd! And don’t forget to buy your home tour tickets NOW. They are only $15 until Friday at midnight then you will have to wait and pay $20 during the tour hours. There will also be a Texas historical marker dedication in Fairmount this Saturday at 2 p.m. The last marker was dedicated in 1978! Read below to find out how you can be involved in our community and learn more about what is happening in the neighborhood. HOME TOUR IS THIS WEEKEND!
Please join the Fairmount Historic District in celebrating its 34th annual Fairmount Tour of Historic Homes THIS WEEKEND, May 7-8 from noon-6 p.m. both days.
Tickets are on sale on our website at www.historicfairmount.com through Friday, May 6 at midnight for $15 each and will be $20 each at the drive-through ticket booth at SiNaCa Studios, 1013 W. Magnolia Ave. this weekend between the hours of noon-6 p.m. If you have already purchased your tickets online, please visit the SiNaCa ticket booth during tour hours from noon-6 p.m. Saturday or Sunday to pick up your tickets, poster and/or t-shirt orders. Everyone will also receive a booklet with information and a map to the tour houses.
There are NINE properties on this year’s tour. This year’s tour will spotlight 5 beautifully restored bungalow-style homes, a new build and two work in progress houses. The bonus property will be the newly renovated Kent & Co. event space. Before the tour on the morning of Saturday, May 7 beginning at 10 a.m. festivities will kick-off with the annual parade through the neighborhood.
There will also be a Texas historical marker dedication at 2 p.m. at 2232 College Ave. on Saturday, May 7 with an open house to follow until 4 p.m.
Please join us for a full weekend of celebrating our fabulous neighborhood by touring the beautiful homes and exploring the area businesses and restaurants.

KICK-OFF HOME TOUR WEEKEND WITH A PARADE
Lineup starts at 9:30 a.m. in Fairmount Park and the parade begins at 10 a.m. This is the perfect time to plan a porch party or gathering with neighbors to start the day if you live along the route, or please gather along the streets, we need a crowd to help support the participants! This is a great way to celebrate the neighborhood and kick off Fairmount’s 34th annual home tour weekend!
If you live on the route – please try to remember to move your cars off the street to make the parade viewing easier and to make it easier and safer for the participants in the Parade – think The World Famous Wheeling Elvi. Pick a place to watch from ‘ think curb or porch party! This is going to be fun!!! 10:00 a.m.
GRAMMER-PIERCE HOUSE TEXAS HISTORICAL MARKER DEDICATION
2232 COLLEGE AVE., MAY 7 AT 2 P.M.
Please join us TOMORROW, May 7 at 2 p.m. for the Grammer-Pierce House marker dedication at 2232 College Ave. in the Fairmount National Historic District on Fort Worth’s Southside. The house was deemed a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark by the state of Texas in 2015 and is celebrating its centennial year. We are thrilled to have the house recognized and hope you can join us for this fun event! The last Texas historical marker dedication in Fairmount was in 1978.
We also look forward to meeting some members of the Pierce and Grammer families who will also be attending!

There will be an open house following the ceremony until 4 p.m. for anyone who would like to tour the house.
The dedication ceremony is being held on the first day of the Annual Fairmount Tour of Historic Homes which runs May 7-8 from noon-6 p.m. both days. If you come to the dedication please stick around for the tour. You can find more information and online ticket sales at http://www.historicfairmount.
*Recorded Texas Historic Landmarks are properties judged to be historically and architecturally significant. The Texas Historical Commission (THC) awards RTHL designation to buildings at least 50 years old that are worthy of preservation for their architectural and historical associations.

MAY 7 – 7 p.m. – ROSEN HOUSE INN, 1714 S. Henderson St.
Calling all Fairmount Home Tour volunteers! You don’t want to miss this party and you are invited because we appreciate you! Please join us at the Rosen House Inn, 1714 S. Henderson St. for the annual Wine Down party on the evening of Saturday, May 7 at 7 p.m.
We will be having BBQ for dinner AND there will be a dessert contest, so if you’d like to enter please put your best dessert forward at this event and there will be a prize!
We will also be having a silent auction and have a bunch of GREAT donations to bid on. Be sure to check out the auction table while you are there.

Posters and t-shirts are available on our website at www.historicfairmount.com. You can pick up your purchases at the SiNaCa Studios drive through ticket booth at 1013 W. Magnolia Ave. during tour hours, noon-6 p.m., May 7-8.
