Finance reported that the annual audit committee met and that no issues were found. Next month is the budget meeting. Wells Fargo accounts have not been switched from Melanie Dotzier to Bob as of yet, to be done within the next 2 weeks.

Communications will be cleaning up access to Google Drive. Updated business cards, nametags, and email cards were presented. Designs will be drafted for Board members to see. Nametags a priority for new board members. Bria presented Slack a new means of communication for Board members in place of previous communication via the private Facebook group. Breinn moved to “use slack as the main form of communication for the FNA moving forward.” Vote moved forward with 7 in favor, 0 against. Newsletter changes include switching from Constant Contact to Mailchimp as a free version of our email newsletter as opposed to paid. Changes will be coming to the printed newsletter.  Bria will get quotes to see how affects pricing. Mike McDermott would like to add in a flyer with the neighborhood wide newsletters that explains our guidelines in  both English and Spanish. Trello app a possibility for board member task management. Past Communications Director was still linked to FB page and posting but has now been removed.

Promotions is still working on an across the board event sponsorship rate sheet. Bria recommended the If This Then That app to pull all event data into one excel sheet. A new chair is needed to run Festivus. Sept 21st is Parking Day, run by NSI. Residents need to be aware that with 21 parking space on Magnolia being blocked all day for this event that more people may be parking in the neighborhood. Sean will reach out to Ann Zadeh and Tracy Edwards with the City’s Community Engagement office to procure community service workers to clean up neighborhood streets the day after Artsgoggle in addition to the NSI putting out more trash cans. All 4 schools will be displaying art at the FNA sponsored ArtsGoggle booth. It is undecided if they will be selling art/fundraising or just displaying. Money from the designated ArtsGoggle $500 Budget will be used to fund matting for students’ artwork.

Infrastructure will continue to work on wording for the FNA’s stance on affordable housing in and around the neighborhood. Fairmount Park was missed by both the city and Clearfork Lawncare for a month, but Clearfork came out this week and mowed. Breinn will contact Sue McLean who has been working on the broken streetlight on Allen and Adams. Will continue to work on getting parking spaces painted in the first block off magnolia, getting the 3rd electric quote for the gardens, finding a company to continue painting official Fairmount Curb numbers.

Memberships last social was a huge  hit. The Oct 26th social is adult only at the Worleys’ house.November is family movie night at Fairmount Park. Annual membership drive starts Nov 1st. Bria will work with Deanna on If This Then That to get a better system for logging new members. Dec 8th holiday party will be at Preservation Hall.  Considering Magdalena’s for catering again.  Price has gone up ~$4/person.
