Office Garner (NPO)
- Recent crime- 3 weeks ago a deceased male was found behind the 7/11 on Allen. Being investigated as possible foul play as the man had a black eye.
- Remember to turn your porch lights on at night to deter theft.
- Report issues to the police (posting on social media is not reporting). Call 911 for urgent issues. Can also contact Office Garner as he is usually close by and can respond.
- Office Garner is on Next Door and posts crime stats to that page. Reminder that he is not on Facebook.
- Halloween- Office Garner will be stationed at Daggett Elementary in case anyone needs assistance that night.
Officer Zuniga (Code Compliance)
- No recent code issues to discuss.
- If you are using the MyFortWorth app to report a code violation there is a current technical issue and he cannot view uploaded photos, so please put information in the description box.
- Even if you check that you don’t want to be contacted regarding the code violation, he may reach out to you for further information regarding the alleged violation.
- Always welcome to call/text him about code issues at 817-932-3451.
Deputy Ortega (Patrol)
- Patrols Ryan Place/Fairmount area day shift (8-4:30)
- Traffic violations, suspicious vehicles/persons
August Meeting Minutes Approved
Regina Jackman (Finance)
- Audit Report- Audit was approved.
- Historic Preservation was $500 over budget due to contributing structure plaques, but these are paid for by the homeowner.
- Anomaly-
- Misc. expense of $65 for the Neighborhoods USA entrance fee (was not previously budgeted for)
- $1,000 credit in Special Projects, refund from Southside Alliance
- Upcoming year’s budget numbers will be available at next meeting (fiscal year ends in October)
National Night Out
- 10/5, 6-8 PM at 1800 Washington
- Barbara (Membership) needs volunteers to help move tables and chairs to/from storage.
- Motion to add $200 to budget for First Responder food/miscellaneous, Second and passed.
Fairmount Fall Fest
- New event to be held at Fairmount Park- activity booths, games, costume contests.
- Interested in donating/participating in activity booths, please contact Amber (President).
Scaremount
- Halloween decoration contest
- Cards will be available at the Fall Fest, will show location of decorated homes
Holiday Party
- Will be 12/11, location to be determined
- Committee volunteers needed
