New FNA board members appointed for 2016-2018

At the Fairmount General Meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 23 a vote was taken by the general membership to elect new board members for the following positions: communications, preservation, finance and safety. Preservation was the only contested position between candidates Susan Harper and Roxanna Latifi. The vote for director of preservation tied during the meeting and was then passed on to the Fairmount board to determine the new preservation director. A board meeting was held Tuesday, Aug. 30 with all board members present. A vote was taken and the new director of preservation for the next two years will be Roxanna Latifi.

Congratulations to our new and returning board members! We thank you for all you do and look forward to what the future holds for our neighborhood. Also, a special thank you to our retiring board members, Martin Dahl, preservation, and Stacy Luecker, communications. We appreciate you and all you have done for Fairmount!
