NPO Update from Sergio Guadarrama: currently no crime trends, typically there is a spike during Spring Break and there is wasn’t.  Continue to stay vigilant and aware and don’t leave anything in your vehicles

Code Officer update: J. Mata, Fairmount is looking great!  Question from audience: “What about the piano?”  Reminder that all violations are at an officer’s discretion.  If you feel a violation is in error, fight it.  Code officers are just doing what they are required to do by law.  Also, if Code Compliance is a topic you feel passionate about, please join the code compliance committee with Breinn Richter (infrastructure@historicfairmount.com) Per Officer Mata, please feel free to address Officer Muhammed as “The Piano Man” at the next neighborhood meeting.

Daggett Montessori School/Junior Cadet Corps/Dr Valerie Kitchen made a presentation regarding a beautification project at their campus.  They are working with architects to design and develop a green space/track/obstacle course/fitness area for their school.  They would like to ask for the neighborhood’s support, please consider writing the school board in support of this project.  Eventually will likely need neighborhood to provide volunteer labor.  They are also applying for grants for this project. Contact Nancy Strickland for more information.

Wayne Owen with Tarrant Regional Water District made an informative presentation providing history and services of TRWD, city of Ft. Worth, and our levee system.
