Fairmount’s 42nd annual Tour of Historic Homes is happening on Mother’s Day weekend, May 11 and 12, 2024 from noon-5 p.m. both days. This year’s tour features five beautiful historic houses and two neighborhood businesses. This is the perfect gift for Mom for her special weekend!

Located on the Near Southside of Fort Worth, Texas, and covering about one square mile, the Fairmount National Historic District contains one of the nation’s richest collections of turn-of-the-century housing. Fairmount is comprised of about 20 subdivisions platted between 1883 and 1907. At the time, Fairmount was a fashionable neighborhood.

Home tour is the neighborhood’s largest fundraiser, and helps support projects throughout the year. If you look around you will see evidence of past tour efforts in the neighborhood signage that can be found at the perimeter of Fairmount, the benches in the Fairmount Greenspace on Allen Ave., the Fairmount National Historic District Texas landmark sign, and more.

Tickets are currently for sale online for $20 each; $25 on tour weekend. Buy your tickets early to take advantage of the discounted price. And, if you want to celebrate Fairmount year-round, order a poster too. These are great 11×17 images printed on heavy cardstock and are framable.
