April 6, 2020 FNA Board Meeting

7:10pm start

Kristen: Home tour

  • Possible dates for the Home tour since June may be too soon
  • Talked about doing an online tour this year
  • Could cut costs down significantly, but would we make anything?
  • Sold almost 1100 tickets for $20,000 before the pandemic
  • Have enough in the account not to break open the CD
  • Can wait 1 month from the date before we need to make the call
  • The possibility of having more homes to justify the online
  • Keep the virtual tour available on the website throughout the year to give flexibility
  • Go along on Mother’s Day weekend and keep the tour going for a couple weeks to be determined later

Frances/Serena: Newsletter

  • Concerned about ad space
  • Risk of physical delivery
  • Do an online newsletter instead of physical delivery and make the booklet and the newsletter be the same deliverable

Michael / Preservation

  • Sagebrook housing development was put on the docket for this month 4/23
    • Sticky issue: can vote to have the letter of support only front he board and would exclude the neighborhood
    • How do we get the information to the neighborhood if we do not feel comfortable with speaking in place of the neighborhood
    • Frances motions to have the board approve the letter of support based on the last public vote  and therefor it will stand. Choke seconds.
    • Passed unanimously
    • Building behind Kent & Co will become a 6 unit apartment complex and the garage was demolished to make room for the required parking for commercial.

General meeting:

  • Will be done by a recap or on a prerecorded “facebook live” scenario
  • Or can have a not live prerecorded meeting
  • Can answer questions real time
  • Have Ann Zadeh join to inform the residents what the city is doing

Misc:

  • Need to get cost estimate on making signs about social distancing

Adjourned at 8:35pm
