  • Home Tour – he can get us extra officers as needed for no charge
  • Crime is down in our area
  • Catalytic converters still being stolen citywide.  There is a new team developed for that issue. 
  • There is a white male with a Saints logo tattoo on his face who hangs around our area, rides a bike, towing a lawn mower, who is wanted for burglary of a habitation in North FW.

  • Introduction to inform us of the services available.

Treasurer’s Report – Regina Jackman

  • Overall net P&L numbers – for the rolling 12 months through March we had a $325 net loss. For the fiscal year to date which is since Nov 1 we have a net income of $1743 which is due to the Festivus fundraiser.

  • Home Tour coming up
    • Expanded advertising opportunities
    • Neighborhood USA (NUSA) competition – we have won several times in the past
      • Brenda Howell –  It’s a very big national organization
      • Conference coming to Fort Worth this year, but it will be virtual
      • Our 2020 Festivus event is a finalist for Neighborhood of the Year.

            Needs volunteers for delivering newsletter

Infrastructure – Preston Patry  infrastructure@historicfairmount.com

            Needs volunteers to put up the flags for Memorial Day on Saturday or Sunday, as well as pedestals and signage for Home Tour.  There are a lot of new flags. You can sponsor a flag for $150

            Allen St. greenspace is being weeded by Tucker Landscape, at cost.  Volunteers are needed to keep it mowed.

  • He does not mean to interfere or cause trouble, but to help follow guidelines
  • Let him know if you see something that seems wrong
  • A Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) is required for changes to the exterior of the house.

Answer to member question on chat:  The juniper trees nearest the corner of Park Place and 8th Ave. are being removed.  Michael Tucker-McDermott offered to talk to the landscape architect about it.

Home Tour – Father’s Day weekend, June 19-20 – all exterior, gardens – $25 tickets

  • 18 homes, so need a lot of volunteers! (Get free ticket)
  • Sign up Genius is live online
  • Posters and shirts will be on sale
  • There will be 6-8 actors on some porches portraying the early owners!

Tonight will be our final virtual-only meeting.  The May 24 meeting will be at the SSPH, outdoors, weather permitting.  Virtual will still be an option. 

Early voting ends tomorrow.  Election day is Saturday, May 1.

Patty Bradley stated we need creative parade participants (drill team, Fairmounties, etc.)

Susan Harper (“resident NeighborhoodUSA expert”) has always loved going to their meetings.  One learns ways to work in your community.
