April 25, 2022 FNA General Membership Meeting

Officer Garner

• One person has been arrested in connection with the area catalytic converter thefts, these types of thefts have slowed down

Councilwoman Beck-

• Early voting starts today
• District 9 bond election meeting is happening Wednesday at 6 pm
• Prop B- includes parks and recs bonds
• Charter elections- propositions include pay raise for council

Meeting minutes were approved by vote

Home Tour Report

• Volunteers needed for all areas of Home Tour
• Open call to those who want to show off their cool cars in the Home Tour parade- line up at 9 AM Saturday the 7^th (parade route to be posted on Fairmount page)
• T-shirts are available for pre-order on the Fairmount website
• Fairmount stickers are also available for purchase

Finance- Regina Jackman

• Financial Status
  • Income $11,318.11
  • Expenses $9,900.00
  • Net $418.11

Membership- Barbara Crotty

• Reported during meeting that there are 185 members, but corrected that there are 104 current members

Infrastructure Issue: Flags

• Discussion regarding different timing options of the install and removal of the flags around the neighborhood
• Consensus- engage Scouts as volunteers to hang the flags prior to Home Tour and the for the flags to remain up until after the 4^th of July

Community Garden- Suzanne Mabe

• Community Garden is taking care of the two flower beds at Stir Crazy

Other Business-

• John and Carrie- reminder of the importance of voting in local elections.
  • Fire Station Community Center renovation is on this bond
  • Prop B- parks and recreation improvements, including rebuilt Forest Park pool
  • Prop C- library improvement in NW FW
  • Prop E- Open Space program, purchase of natural areas for outdoor recreation
• Pollinator area in Fairmount park
  • Funding available, but no plan in place currently
• Kelci Cox- update that the Artsgoggle booth was successful in bringing attention to the FNA and Home Tour. Thank you to all the volunteers!!
