Yard sale map and information for Saturday, April 16

Please join us Saturday, April 16 for the Fairmount Neighborhood-wide Yard Sale! We have 95 locations signed up to participate in the sale which will officially begin a 8 a.m.

Walk along our tree-lined streets, enjoy the unique architecture of our bungalows and find some special treasures to take home. There are also many restaurants on the Southside along Magnolia, Park Place and other streets to enjoy some breakfast or lunch after you a finished shopping.

The Fairmount neighborhood sits within zip codes 76110 and 76104. It is located on Fort Worth’s popular Southside and is bounded by Magnolia Avenue on its north, Jessamine Street on the south, Eighth Avenue on the west and Hemphill Street on the east. Below is a map showing the boundaries and major streets within Fairmount.

While you are out at the yard sale on Saturday, remember to stop by Old Home Supply at 1801 College Ave. for the Fairmount Community Garden and Garden Club Plant sale. Old Home Supply also has HOME TOUR TICKETS! Fairmount’s home tour is coming May 7-8. Get your tickets for $15 each ($20 on tour weekend) or buy them online here at www.historicfairmount.com! Good Neighbor Animal Rescue is participating in the Fairmount Yard Sale this coming Saturday at 1916 6th Avenue. All money raised or donated will go to GNAR. The Fairmount Community Library at 1310 W. Allen Ave. is participating in the Fairmount Community Yard Sale as well. All proceeds go to benefit the Library’s programs.

FAIRMOUNT PICKERS is BACK! The Fairmount Neighborhood Association will be awarding a $100 gift card donated by Old Home Supply at 1801 College Ave. for the most “UNUSUAL” Fairmount yard sale find. On the day of the sale you will be asked to text a photo of yourself with your “picked” object by 6 p.m., April 16 to 817-944-8578. You will need to provide your name, contact information, a brief description of the object and the address where you bought it. Should be fun seeing what hidden treasures Fairmount residents have! The Fairmount Neighborhood Association board will select a winner and post it on our Facebook page.

We hope everyone has a great time at the sale! Many locations and neighborhood organizations within Fairmount are participating and we are so happy to see the community involvement that has become a part of this event. Please remember to respect those walking along streets and those trying to park. Please do not block traffic or private driveways! Pull to the side or find a safe place to pull over even if you are just letting someone in or out of the car. Some streets in our neighborhood are more narrow than others. Please be courteous and kind and everyone will have a great time!
