Become a member and support the neighborhood! As a member you will be invited to participate in FNA events and help support our website which includes neighborhood news, contact numbers for the association board, city, police, fire and code enforcement. It’s a great way to stay informed! Your membership fee also helps improve the neighborhood’s infrastructure and safety through projects such as home tour, street signs, the addition of historic street lights, our park sign and more.
Our monthly general membership meetings are the fourth Monday at 7 PM at Southside Preservation Hall located at 1519 Lipscomb St. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Texas marker program is one of the most visible programs of the Texas Historical Commission (THC). Markers commemorate many topics in Texas history including the architecture of houses, commercial and public buildings, religious congregations, military sites and individuals who have made lasting contributions to the state, community organizations and businesses.
